Here are some recent Major Infrastructure projects that EPH has supplied earth moving equipment for:

 

M1 Upgrade

The $1.39 billion Monash-CityLink-West Gate (M1) upgrade was a partnership between the State Government and Transurban and included the construction of extra freeway lanes to help ease congestion and improve the flow of traffic as well as strengthening works on the West Gate Bridge.

The M1 upgrade project was planned, designed and constructed under a number of alliance agreements and design and construct contracts including earth moving work by a variety of EPH contractors.

 
 
 

Eastlink

EastLink is a 39 kilometre motorway that runs between Donvale in Melbourne's north east, through Dandenong, to Frankston in the south-east of Melbourne. Around 40% of Melburnians live in this corridor, which includes important retail, commercial and industrial centres.

The Eastlink project connected the Monash, Eastern and Frankston Freeways and has two tunnels under the Mullum Mullum Valley. The tunnels were built with the assistance of EPH earth moving contractors and are named Melba and Mullum Mullum. Each tunnel is 1.6km long, and has been designed in line with the World Road Association (PIARC) standards to include world-class safety features.

 
 
 

Aldi Distribution Centre

GERMAN supermarket giant Aldi opened a $140 million warehouse and distribution centre in Dandenong South in 2010.

EPH provided a range of earth moving equipment during the initial phases of construction of the centre which covers a massive 56,000sq m and services stores throughout Victoria.

A large freezer, chiller and temperature-controlled chocolate room are all part of the Colemans Rd warehouse.

 

Craigieburn Bypass

The Craigieburn Bypass provides a 17.5km length of freeway linking the Metropolitan Ring Road at Thomastown to the Hume Highway north of Craigieburn in Victoria.

EPH was engaged by Abigroup Contractors to provide earth moving services for the grade separation of Connection Road over the Freeway to enable the construction of the Bypass carriageways below the new structure. This also included construction of the interchange ramps and structures with the assistance of a number of EPH earth moving contractors.

 

Westfield Shopping Centre, Doncaster

The redevelopment of Westfield Doncaster was a $650 million project that increased the total retail space of the centre to around 109,000 m2.

EPH provided earth moving equipment and contractors during the initial phases of the redevelopment.

The new-look Westfield contains an array of new stores and sweeping views to the city in the new food area and the grand opening of the redeveloped centre took place in October 2008.

The Age Print Centre located at Tullamarine is one of the most modern, technologically advanced printing plants in Australia. Part of Fairfax Media Printing, The Age Print Centre delivers high quality printed publications for Fairfax and a wide range of commercial clients.
